Mike Walsh — President & Owner, 2023 – Present
A Cleveland native and Ohio State University graduate in Computer Science, Mike joined Root-InfoTech in 1996 and spent nearly three decades alongside founder Cary Root. In 2023, he took ownership with a mission to continue the exceptional service standards. A Solon Chamber of Commerce member and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Alumni (Cohort 34).
Cary M. Root — Founder & President, 1981 – 2023
Cary founded Root-InfoTech as a computer consulting firm to help small businesses embrace the personal computer revolution. With Bachelors and Masters degrees from Purdue University and experience at Burroughs Corporation and Cleveland Consulting Associates, he built the company into a Northeast Ohio institution. A dedicated community leader who served on the boards of the BBB, Ohio Commerce Bank, and volunteered with Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The Beginning — 1981
Root-InfoTech was born when the most popular PCs were Radio Shack, KayPro, Osborne, and Compaq. Six months later, IBM introduced its first PC — and so began the IT revolution. We've been at the forefront ever since.
