There are LOTS of ways you can hold online meetings – two of the popular services are GoToMeeting, and WebEx. But they can get expensive, especially if you only need the service once in awhile.
The join.me service is completely free and doesn’t even require registration. It also works well for those times you need to remote control into another computer to grab a file or help someone with a problem. Join.me is browser based, so the person at each end goes to http://join.me in their browser. One clicks on “start meeting” and the other clicks on “join meeting”. The person who did “start meeting” gets a code on their screen which they give to the other person… and then they are connected – quick, easy and free.
Give it a try and see for yourself at http://join.me. By the way, the service has a couple other options that are fee based – which you likely won’t need (i.e. more than 10 people in an online meeting at the same time). You may be offered a free trial of the premium subscription, and in most situations it’s best to decline. I prefer to keep it clean, simple and free. See if you agree.
